1. Who developed Sildenafil Citrate and
Why?
Originally developed by Pfizer® as a heart
medication, Sildenafil Citrate was found to
improve blood flow by relaxing arteries.
During these studies, they noticed a large
increase in blood flow to the male genitals. |
|
2. How successful is Sildenafil Citrate?
Years ago, men diagnosed with sexual
dysfunction performed normally for an
average five to six hours after taking
Sildenafil Citrate tablets. According to an
AP article released Oct. 27, 1997,
Sildenafil Citrate tablets achieved a
success rate of 80%. In March of 1998,
Sildenafil Citrate was approved by the FDA
and marketed in its tablet form by Pfizer®.
This was the beginning of Viagra®. |
|
3. How does Sildenafil Citrate work?
When a man is sexually aroused, the arteries
in the penis relax and widen, allowing more
blood to flow into the penis. As the
arteries in the penis expand, the veins that
normally carry blood away from the penis
become compressed, restricting the blood
flow out of the penis.
With more
blood flowing in and less flowing out, the
penis enlarges, resulting in an erection. If
the nerves or blood vessels associated with
this process aren't working properly, a man
may not be able to get an erection.
Sildenafil Citrate increases blood flow to
the penis, so that when a man is sexually
aroused, he can get and keep an erection. |
|
4. Why do Sildenafil Citrate soft tabs
work so fast?
When Sildenafil Citrate is in a pill form,
it must go through the digestive tract to be
absorbed into the blood stream. This could
take 90 minutes or more. Sildenafil Citrate
soft tabs are absorbed directly into the
blood stream through the cell walls under
the tongue, thereby eliminating the
necessity to go through the digestive tract.
This sublingual tablet is created by a
patent pending compounding process developed
especially for this product. |
|
5. Do I need the same dosage as the pill
form?
No. Because the Sildenafil Citrate does not
have to go through the digestive tract you
need less of the dosage required using the
pill form. |
|
6. What is the proper dosage?
For some men, a half dose is adequate to
receive the desired results. You should
never take more than one Sildenafil Citrate
soft tab at any one time and not more than
once a day. If you are over 65 years old or
have a medical condition such as a serious
liver or kidney problem, or are taking
protease inhibitors such as for the
treatment of HIV, consult your physician for
the proper dosage. |
|
7. Who shouldn't use Sildenafil Citrate?
Before you start any treatment of Sildenafil
Citrate soft tabs, be sure to carefully go
through the online questionnaire. If you
have any questions please consult your
health care provider. If you're a man who
uses nitrate drugs, like nitroglycerine,
never take Sildenafil Citrate soft tabs.
The
combination of Sildenafil Citrate and
nitrates can make your blood pressure
suddenly drop to unsafe or life-threatening
levels. You could get dizzy, faint, or even
experience heart attack or stroke. Nitrates
are found in many prescription medications
that are used to treat angina (chest pain
due to heart disease) such as:
Nitroglycerin, (tablets that are used orally
and designed to be disolved in the mouth,
skin patches, sprays, and ointments),
isosorbide mononitrate and isosorbide
dinitrate (tablets that are used orally and
designed to be disolved in the mouth)
Nitrates are also found in recreational
drugs such as amyl nitrate or nitrite
("poppers"). If you are not sure if any of
your medications contain nitrates, or if you
do not understand what nitrates are, ask
your health care provider or pharmacist.
** Do not share
your prescription with anyone.** |

8. Is age a factor in the effectiveness
of Sildenafil Citrate?
Age does not seem to be a factor in the
effectiveness of Sildenafil Citrate. In fact
many men experience erections that are as
firm as they were when they were in their
teens. The erections last longer and require
less stimulation to stay erect because of
the increased blood flow. |
|
9. Will Sildenafil Citrate soft tabs
cause an erection?
No. You must first be sexually aroused to
get an erection. If you take Sildenafil
Citrate soft tabs and are not sexually
stimulated, nothing will happen. If however
you are sexually stimulated within that 4
hour period, your erection will generally be
firm and long lasting. When the sexual
encounter is over, the erection goes away. |
|
10. Are there any side effects?
Like all medications, Sildenafil Citrate
soft tabs can have some side effects. The
most common side effects are headache,
facial flushing, sensitivity to light,
bluish or blurred vision. In rare cases
erection has been known to last more than 4
hours. If this occurs seek medical help
immediately. Sildenafil Citrate soft tabs
provide no protection against sexually
transmitted diseases. |
|
11. What is Medical Compounding?
Our Sildenafil Citrate and Tadalifil soft
tabs are compounded by licensed pharmacists
using Viagra® or Cialis® Tablets. These
tablets are ground into a fine powder and
processed into a sublingual medication.* |
|
12.
Why do soft tabs
work so fast?
When Sildenafil Citrate and Tadalifil are in
a pill form, it must go through the
digestive tract to be absorbed into the
blood stream; this takes approximately 60 to
90 minutes. Compounded medications in the
soft tab form are absorbed directly into the
blood stream through the cell walls under
the tongue, thereby eliminating the
necessity to go through the digestive tract.
A pharmacy compounding process developed
especially for this medication creates a
sublingual tab. |
|
13. What Is The Proper
Dosage?
Most men report a half tab is
adequate to receive the desired results. You
should never take more than one soft tab at
any one time and not more than once a day.
